Volunteers Dedicated To Making A Difference

Samantha Morales
Founder / President

Samantha Morales founded Branches Long Island in October 2019. She is not new to helping the community though! She has done animal rescue for many years and previously worked as a veterinary technician. She also owns two businesses and is no stranger to hard work. With her humble, compassionate and easy going personality it’s no surprise Branches has grown into what it has today.

Samantha resides in Coram with her Husband Wayne and is a Mother of four beautiful children, Mollie, Jaxon, Myles and Roman. She has three dogs Kona, Gracie and Hoagie and has 15 chickens which she calls “her girls.”

When Samantha isn’t working or volunteering (which is rare)you can find her home with her family enjoying time outside together or taking a drive for ice cream.

As Sam always says “We got you always.”

Jennifer Aviles
Vice President

Jennifer Aviles brings the bilingual aspect to the group. Born and raised in Colombia with a heart of gold. Noble, friendly, committed and hard working. She devotes her extra time not only to her family but also to helping other and changing lives. Jennifer has always loved to help people and she will give her all towards any project or task.

She resides in Brentwood with her husband Danny and son Gio.

The moment Branches Long Island was established Jennifer jumped right on board and she is the backbone to the operations.

Corie Credidio

Corie Credidio joined Branches with a wealth of experience. She owned her own businesses and now works as an OperationsManager for a busy orthopedic group. For the past 12 years she has volunteered in the capacity of coach and on the board of youth soccer organization. She recently came to Branches but has jumped in with volunteering weekly packing Blessing Boxes, assisting Jenn with requests and coordinating the volunteers. She is awe of all generosity and love she witnesses in this group each day.

Corie resides in Farmingville with her husband (and high school sweetheart), Joe. She is the mother of three beautiful children, Joey, Carly and Mandy.

When Corie is not working or volunteering, she enjoys being home with her family and her dogs.

Geri Freda

Geri Freda brings to Branches a wealth of experience. Since joining Branches and becoming a Board Member, she has proudly accepted the position of Treasurer. She enjoys volunteering weekly packing our Blessing Boxes and giving back to the community when she can.

Geri is a proud Mom of her 24 year old daughter Jess and all 7 of her fur babies. She has spent the last 10 years working closely with animals…in veterinary hospitals, as well as being active in animal rescue. She is also prone to making people laugh and enjoy doing whatever it is they are doing.

Sarah Grathwohl
Executive Board Member

Sarah Grathwohl is 26 and lives in Riverhead. Sarah got involved with Branches early on in its development after seeing a post on social media. She has always had a passion to help others ever since she was a young child. Sarah volunteered with special needs children when she was a young teen. She grew up with a father who was a special educator and a mother who worked with disabled adults, so she learned compassion and diversity at a young age. She loves making people feel valued and cared for. She believes that everyone matters regardless of the situation they’re in. She advocates for those in need, and equal opportunity for all. She enjoys making people laugh and engaging with others. Sarah works in the horticultural field, and appreciates how tender care and nurturance enables nature’s bounty to flourish. In her spare time Sarah enjoys being outdoors, being with her family and taking her rescue dogs on adventures.

Stephanie Gennett
Executive Board Member

Stephanie Gennett is a retired EMT from FDNY EMS. After retiring she was looking for a way to give back to the community. When Branches Long Island was announced Stephanie became very involved in the fundraising section, eventually evolving into being involved in the day to day functions of Branches.
Stephanie is a mother of 2, 1 daughter and 1 son. Stephanie enjoys being a soccer mom. In her spare time she still helps out in animal rescue, which she has been involved in for the last 9 years. She enjoys spending time on the soccer field and at home with her own animals .
